During my daily blog rounds, I’ve noticed that more and more of my favorite bloggers are getting ready for Easter. And then it hit me (I know, not exactly quick on the uptake) — that’s the secret! That’s why they have all of this cute hand-made celebratory stuff going on…it’s not that they have some kind of super power that I don’t know about. It’s that they think about these things. Early.
Here are some of my favorite pieces of Easter inspiration. If you are even remotely the crafty/DIY type, let something about the season inspire you. Either make your house happy or make something for somebody you care about.
- Some alternative Easter egg dying ideas [via Tracy at Blissfully Domestic] - Did you know you can use aluminum foil, bubble wrap, and lightbulb sleeves to make artsy eggs? They’re pretty easy to boot.
- Georgous displays from Heather Bullard over at the PresentPast Collection - You must visit her shop. My favorites are this birds & nests stamp set, this egg & nest eraser, and these copper wire nests.
- Nutter Butter and Oreo truffles over at Bakerella [via Ez at Creature Comforts] - We know they must be yummy, but can something that includes Oreos or Nutter Butters be chic and stylish at the same time? The answer is now yes. I dare you to make these…but you must use the cute tiny cupcake liners! I think it increases the stylishness by about 1,000%. Give or take.
- Adorable flea market finds from Suzanne at Pink Roses - She needs to come with me on my next shopping excursion! This girl finds the most amazing stuff.
- Sweet decorative ideas from Jennifer at Sweet Eye Candy Creations - She’s got this dainy/pink/girly thing going on that I just adore.
- Fun with chocolate molds from Amy at Angry Chicken - These lamb-shaped cutie pies are going to be difficult to eat, I can tell. I mean, they’re reeeeeally adorable. You just want to eat them…but NOT eat them at the same time.
- Washi eggs [via Scribbit] - This looks a little more difficult than the first egg dying tutorial that I posted, but the results will make people wonder…how?
- ALL KINDS of kischy Easter delights over at A. Bel Emporium - I especially love the Spring fling miniature sampler, the sugar button posies, and the candy stripe baking cups.
- Beautiful (and anti-pastel) naturally dyed eggs over at craftastica [via whip up] - If you shun the soft young palette of Easter, you can still keep its sunny, earthy disposition by dying some of these eggs for your kitchen table. These are so gorgeous, I did a double-take.
Alright, I’m going to stop now before I totally overwhelm you with possibilities. But be inspired. Do something fun for yourself. Because in the end, life is just a bunch of memories, you know? Let’s create good ones.

I keep forgetting it early this year! I suppose I better get on it and pull out my Easter stuff!

Great ideas!!! With Easter being so soon after Valentine’s Day, I’ve had a hard time switching gears. I look forward to following all of your links.
I hope you guys are feeling better today. We’re still struggling at our house, but the kids were feeling a lot better today.
Thanks for finding my blog - I’m excited to find yours!
