We’re in the Alltop crowd now

Woah…I’m totally excited and thrilled and generally spasmic about being listed (in an above-average spot!) in the moms category at Alltop. Strangely enough, this happened AFTER I wrote about them earlier but BEFORE the article was actually published (I schedule my posts, you see). Twist your brain around that for a second. Actually, I went ahead and posted all of my posts for the day (instead of spreading them out) because I just couldn’t wait to tell you guys.

Thank you, Guy Kawasaki! Sorry I had trouble with your name earlier! (You see, it’s really not that hard.)

I think I’ll go and have myself a good weekend now. ;)

Series on mistakes creative professionals make

I’ve just posted the first article in a series called The 7 deadly sins of creative professionals over at the S.Joy Studios blog. Stop on by and have a read!

New site sneak-peek

You guys are the first to know. John and I have been working on the new site for S.Joy Studios over the past couple of weeks (hence the lack of Friday Favorites…we’ve been too busy to surf!), and it is now officially live. We’re very excited. (You may have to refresh your browser when you go if you’ve visited us before.)

The site I initially put up was just a quick portfolio site because people were asking to see samples of my work. It also reflected my one-woman show at the time.

The new site incorporates both my talents and my husband’s, since we are officially working as a team with this endeavor. It also gives a better idea of where we are wanting to go with our work creatively.

So there you go! We’ve set up a new blog over there that is going to be dealing with all things having to do with creating an online presence. We’re going to be featuring some of our favorite artists/creative professionals and giving ideas and inspiration on how to succeed at your life’s work. So come on over…if you’re into that sort of thing. ;)
